It’s May and we have 5 Lasers out practing. What a great start to the year!
We kicked off our first practice night of the year with a beautiful sunset gracing the horizon and very light winds setting a serene scene on the water. Despite the gentle breeze, spirits were high as we were all excited to be out together this early in the season.
We conducted a couple of rabbit starts, with a focus on upwind boat speed training and roll tacks. The light breeze allowed everyone to get comfortable and reacquainted with their boats after the winter break.
Overall, it was a wonderful start to the season. The combination of a beautiful sunset and the opportunity to get our boats wet before we get racing.
Thank you to everyone who came out and made the night a success. Here’s to Laser sailing the first week of May!
